title: Stability AI’s CEO joins the exodus
description: "Emad Mostaque, founder and CEO of leading AI startup, Stability AI, has decided to step down from the top role. The company, which has now lost over half a dozen key figures over the past months, recently lost its leader who stepped down to pursue decentralized AI. Mostaque stated that one can't beat centralized AI with more centralized AI, adding that “the concentration of power in AI is bad for us all” and “we should have more transparent & distributed governance in AI as it becomes more and more important”. This sentiment seems to be progressively more prevalent in the industry. It’s not certain what his next move will be but blockchain technology lends itself as an increasingly popular candidate to address decentralization in the space.\nSource: Techcrunch"
